Care & Maintenance.
Once the product has been installed, it is very common to see slight haziness and / or small water pockets. This is a normal part of the adhesive bonding process known as, “curing” . Depending upon the weather conditions, it may take up to 30 days for the material to be fully cured. The curing process is slow because the remaining water used in installation must evaporate through the material.
Once the film is dry and cured, it’s then safe for the film to be cleaned. The best product cleaner is a simple solution of water and a small amount of soap, wiping with a lint-free towel. You may also clean the product surface with any normal strength glass cleaner. Products with ammonia will not damage the film if used in reasonable quantities and if the film is not left to soak in it. Remember, the surface of the Windshield Skin® is coated with a scratch resistant, not scratch-proof, coating. Do not use any abrasive cleaners, abrasive scrubbing sponges, industrial strength glass cleaners and/or any other window cleaning tools that may scratch the product.
DO NOT POWER STEAM
The Surface of the Windshield Skin® is coated with a nano layer of scratch resistant coating and a high pressure steamer will damage coating, so do not power wash.
DO NOT USE SHARP OBJECTS
Do not use any abrasive cleaners, and/or any other window cleaning tools that may scratch the product.
